Our first buddy class!

Yesterday Rm 24 we had our first buddy class! Our buddy class was Rm 6! We has to choose partners, so I when with Ileana. We had buddy class in the library, me and Ileana got Lily but before they came in we had to choose a book, Me and Ileana chose If I was a banana.

After they came we went to  table to read the book and it was really funny because lily would cover up the words so we couldn't read but then and interrupting when one of us was reading...

Art that is out of this world!

This week Rm 24 have been doing some art!

First we had to make that planets by cutting out a big circle and a small one the big one was my earth and the small one was my moon, I also made a medium one for my mars!

Next we got some pastels of the right colour, we also used a black peace of paper and started were ever we wanted

Cross Country 2019

This morning Kauri team had Cross Country, I enjoyed it but it was really challenging because I was always running out of breath but I didn't stop because some of the teachers and parents cheered me on and I didn't want to let then down BUT I sadly can 16th, last year I came around 10th or 11th!

Great job to: Deborah (1st place for year 5 girls), Neena (2nd place for year 5 girls), Oshani (3rd place for year 5 girls), Anjola (2nd place for year 5 boys), Liam (3rd place for year 5 boys)

I kind of liked the challenge, It was easy to go down hill but it was also scary because i'm was scared I was going to slip

Ratios!!

For maths we have been learning about Ratios... for e.g in Rm 24 we have been doing paintings but we have been doing ratios like if I wanted to make green you would mix 1 part blue and 3 part yellow and that would make green!

I Hope you understand what a ratio is!
